NOTE: Not all of our projects are shown here.
"About Us" video for the Praxis Project
This is a 4 minute 37 second video…longer than I would prefer, but we wanted to cover two people’s stories in some detail. This really is a video to get more people to become mentors…you get to hear the stories of two mentors. You hear what got these two to become mentors, how mentoring affects their mentees' lives, and even some advice if you were to become a mentor and what is expected from mentors. I think it gives a great overview in a personal way.
Testimonial Video for Kastner Restoration
This is a testimonial video for Gary Kastner. I interviewed his client at her location. What I really like about this video is that we were able to cover three objects people have to remodelers. So in this video, you not only hear that Gary is a great guy - but you hear his estimates will not suddenly climb when he starts a project, he is reachable, and he finishes projects quickly. This kind of video builds trust, which is a key factor in gaining sales. Also, there is a unique offer and call to action.
Testimonial Video for Vibrant Potential
This is a short testimonial video for Dr. Chris Frykman at Vibrant Potential. He is a chiropractor and applied kinesiologist. I interviewed his client and pulled the best story possible from her. This is in wide-screen, as it is a popular format. We shot it at Dr. Chris' office.
Freestyle Choir at Burnsville High School
The Freestyle Choir at Burnsville High School has been invited to Carnegie Hall for this school year's choir trip (2009-2010). They are in need of support to send these students for an opportunity of a lifetime. This is a video with Freestyle Alumni, a current member, and Bryan Fisher - Director of Freestyle at Burnsville High School. This is video with a shorter life span and a website that may not exist later, so a splash screen with a stronger call to action and a website was not included. Instead, the website will have the stronger call to action...and the video was get alumni to reminisce and hear about this opportunity for this year's kids. Also, this was shot at beautiful locations in widescreen.
Emergency Foodshelf Network
They are a foodbank in Minnesota - receiving and shipping food to member foodshelves. They wanted a video that may draw in more companies and people sponsoring food drives & also companies and individuals to volunteer time at the Emergency Foodshelf Network (sorting and packaging food for shipment). I have no idea what happens to the food after it is dropped in the barrel, so I thought we would do a video showing the process...as well as a call to action. They liked the idea and this is the finished product.
Twin Cities Daily Planet
They are a non-profit online newspaper that relies on donations, citizen journalism, and professional editors. They wanted an "about us" type of video to put on their website and show when they are doing talks elsewhere. We discussed how to best get the message out, so we decided an interview with the Executive Director and the three editors at TC Daily Planet would work well. This is a 'straight from the horses mouth' kind of video that allows viewers to also meet the editors on staff.
Place video is on the TC Daily Planet's website: http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/about
