Hello,
My name is Eric Putkonen. I am a recruiting and marketing guy who went into video production because of my love for pictures and what it can bring to businesses. Several years ago when I saw my first recruiting video, I knew that short videos on the internet were the future of recruiting…and would be a major part of marketing in general.
I had an interest in photography for many years. My work had been shown in a few art shows, and then I learned video production. I also became a Certified TV Producer through Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission and I still help with community cable television programs. In learning video production and the industry, I was shocked to learn what the prices where for short online videos used in marketing and recruiting. I saw that Careerbuilder started offering services to produce recruiting videos for ads…and a 60 to 90 second video costs $5,000.
“Recruiting videos will not become mainstream at those costs,” I thought. So I bought my own video equipment, converted some of my still photography equipment into a portable video studio, and am now offering far more reasonably priced video production services. I would like to see video for recruiting and marketing become much more mainstream.
As someone with many years experience in marketing and recruiting, I already have ideas for how to use video in these areas. Furthermore, I can relate more with you and your goals than a purely art or video person could. For example, when I plan and develop recruiting videos, I draw upon my training and certification in Performance-based Hiring through the Adler Group.
There really just isn't anything like video. You can impress your potential candidates or clients with a view of your building, the workplace, associates, equipment, or products. Offer a close look at your company, its history and accomplishments. You can engage candidates and clients in way that only video can. You can show your story.
Sincerely,
Eric Putkonen
